Is their an agency over insurance company??

Question

Is their a department or agency in the state of Texas that has authority over insurance co. and might make the hand people get off their hands and pay my claim since Oct 2007. Now they will not even answer us. The agency name and address in Texas please THANKS

You can file a complaint with the Texas state insurance department, if this is your insurance company.

If it's not your insurance company, they have no duty of good faith towards you, and you're going to need to sue the at fault party.

You can find the various complaint forms here:  http://www.tdi.state.tx.us/consumer/comp...  print out one for whatever type of policy you're talking about, fill it out as completely as possible, and send it in.  Instructions are on the form.

contact the commision of insurance.  That will help you get the process moving again.  Companies dont like to have the commision looking in on there business.  Good Luck

If you have insurance through your employer, contact the benefits department and get them involved. If you are part of a union, get help through them. If you still cannot get assistance (because you do not belong to one of these groups), then contact the Texas Department of Insurance.
