I just don't feel like reading the whole book when the test is on Tuesday. So far I've read the introduction (the first paragraph of it)

  1. Well, you can just boycott reading and fail the test.  It's your life, so if being lazy is what you want to do with it, then be lazy.  But don't expect to avoid consequences of that.

  2. ummm.. if there is a test on tuesday then you better read the book or go to the library and ask if they have the book on tape or disc , or if they have a movie on the book.

  3. This is what happens when you leave your homework for the last minute.  I KNOW your teacher didn't just assign this yesterday.

Now you're screwed. Be prepared to fail.

  4. Try sparknotes or another site with chapter to chapter summaries.

I agree, that is an awful lot to read before Tuesday - and it's not exactly my favorite book, haha.

    Good luck on the test!

    Love always,

    Pippa

  5. www.sparknotes.com

or you can actually try reading the bok.

  6. Sorry, but the best way to prepare is to read it.  The movie version deviates so much from the book that you lose the meaning.  Sparknotes, and Cliffnotes won't cover some of the details that your teacher might find important.  If you can find an audio version of the book, listening to it read is better than not reading it at all.

  7. You could watch the movie with Demi Moore. You could try "cliff notes". But I warn you now that if your teacher/professor has any indepth questions on the exam, you will be s******g yourself by not reading the whole book and getting the nuances that Hawthorne threw in. Remember this was a cutting edge book of its time, dealing with hypocrisy and political posturing.
