  1. prince charles (wingnut) is a big stuckup toffee nosed two timing git(no one on earth can understand him for choosing the dragon lady over the most beautiful girl in the world......diana)as for his sons..they dont need a title ,,they should be known only as THE TWO SONS OF DIANA ....hold your heads up boys your mother was a far better person than anybody in the pommy royal family

  2. It depends. All children of a monarch, and grandchildren from the male-line will receive royal titles with styles. For example, in the UK, all of the Queen's grandchildren from the male-line are legally styled as "His/Her Royal Highness, Prince/Princess of X."

Upon marriage, it is by royal tradition that children and grandchildren of a monarch will receive a peerage title that of a royal Duke, Marquess, Earl, Viscount or Baron. For example, Prince Andrew received the title of Duke of York, and his wife became the Duchess of York. His two daughters were titled and styled as "Princess of York."

If Prince Andrew had a son, his son will inherit the title of "Duke of York" as Prince X, 2nd Duke of York. However, since he only has two daughters the title will be extincted when he passes away. Noble titles cannot be carried through the female line.

The youngest grandchild of the Queen, James Windsor is the youngest child of Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex. However, it was decided that this newly born prince will go by the title bestowed upon children of an Earl. The eldest son of an earl is customarily accorded one of his father's subsidiary titles by courtesy, and so James is referred to as Viscount Severn, despite his legal status as a prince.

  3. It depends on the Royal family and why they are a Prince.

In the Uk (which is really the only one I know about): All children of the Monarch have the title "prince" or "princess" and until recently all children in the Male-line also have that title e.g Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie.

Now only the oldest son's children will have that title e.g. Princes William and Harry. Prince William's children will have a title but Harry's will not. This has been shown by The Earl of Wessex not giving his children royal titles.

By the time William becomes King it is likely that the only Prince who will give his children a Royal title will be the one who is likely to be King.

  4. duke or lord

  5. Rachelle is wrong in stating that all male-line grandchildren are princes and princesses with styles. In Norway, Prince Sverre Magnus is not HRH and he is the grandson of the king.

It is entirely dependent on the system and country. In all of the former countries of Germany, the children of a prince were all princes and princesses if the marriage was considered equal and valid. Each of the children of any of those princes (but not the princesses) would have been princes and princesses too, so on and so forth.

In most countries were the title of prince can be used by certain nobles, almost always would their children be princes and princesses. This was the case in the Holy Roman Empire, Hungary, the German Empire, Russia, etc. Some countries restricted the title of prince and princess to members of reigning families and then it was entirely dependent on those families' rules.
