Is their any law on what I can put into peoples letter boxes in the UK?

Hi I want to advertise my website that will earn me money when people use it. Is their any law about me going around the town and putting little Business cards in people letter boxes?

its not illegal but most people will just throw it in the bin without looking at it first, an advert in the local paper may be more effective and probabily cheaper. affiliate with simular websites is another idea.
