I took a picture and the flash is way to bright on my face. Is their any way I can fix it?

  1. You are probably just too close to the camera.  If you are trying to do self-portraits at arm's length, you may have to do that outside without the flash


  2. Many built-in flash units tend to blow out faces when you are too close to your subject. I sometimes will soften the built in flash of my Canon 590 by holding or taping a white or semi clear plastic bag over the flash. On my S3, which has a flip up flash, I cut a 1/4 inch slot down the side of a 35mm semi clear film canister, which slips over the flash in the up position.

    These diffusers cut back the amount of flash and soften it.

    Now, if you asking how to fix that particular photo, you need some photo editing software. Photoshop Elements is a good choice, and not too expensive (about $80).
