  1. There are many place with in Melbourne that has a very large Indian population..I live in the outer eastern suberbs and i know that there are many Indians in Dandenong..

  2. As the others said, there is a thriving Indian community in Melbourne!  Indians have lived in Melb for many years, but in the last 5 years or so many more have arrived. The mostly Indian taxi drivers made a big impact recently with a political demonstration:  http://specials.rediff.com/news/2008/apr...

    (Fortunately the chap that was stabbed has recovered.)

    Clayton is another suburb which is extremely multi-cultural.

    the city is about 20% asian and around a third of those would be indian / sri lankan etc.

    I work at a supermarket in burwood and the vast majority of the employees there are Indian.
