Is their life on the moon?

  9. Almost certainly not. The moon has only a trace atmosphere, and it's surface is subject to harsh radiation and extremes of temperature. And it has been like that for most of the moons history. The very basic conditions needed for life are not there.

    There is some speculation that there maybe water ice in some of the deeper polar craters, but even that is not likely to mean a hospitable environment.

    I.e. the only life forms that have ever been on the moon, are humans who have landed there.

    There is the rumor that bacteria from Earth survived in dormant state on our lunar landers, but the chances are better that the bacteria just got transfered to the samples after return to Earth, by the many reported breaches of sterile procedure.
