I'm an average looking woman and 5ft, 115llbs., & 34a-29-35. I have acne and wear glasses. I'm really shy and mind my own business. Why do men flirt with me at work? I'm trying to do my job & I have NO interest in dating. Also, a lot of them are older. Is there a rumor out their about shelves that I don't know about. Do people think we're naive, easy, or something? What can I do so I can do my job? Do I scream desperation? I even had one old guy ask me to marry him and to come to his fam reunion.

  1. I have been a library worker for a long time now and discovered a long time ago that the library is a regular hangout for the wierdos of the world. Just politely excuse yourself saying  you have a lot of work to do.

  2. It is a common stereotype that shy, mousy, glasses-wearing librarians, schoolteachers, and other bookworms are animals in the sack.  There, I said it.  Please note I said it is a common stereotype.

  3. Very interesting question. And yes, a shy looking librarian is an attractive fantasy for many guys. I don't think it's a stereotype...

I think it's just a d**n fact. By the way do you have an email....?
