  1. Hi Jenny....

    Very easy answer to your question.... simply NO.  And the reason is the credit card companies must have your SS# to check on your credit history before issuing a credit card.   So...  no SS#.... no credit card.

  2. Check with your local bank.  Some banks will accept ITINs and Mexico's ID.

  3. Well your SSN is one of those major minors that identify who you are. The card companies need to be in sync with the credit bureaus so the SSN is mandatory.. That gives them a sneak peak at your credit history when you apply.
