Is there ANY scientists that take seriously the works of Zechariah Sitchin or Velikovsky?

It's possible.  After all, there are scientists who take Intelligent Design seriously.  Granted, the scientists usually aren't experts in the field in question, but they're scientists.  So although it's unlikely, it's possible.

Sitchin is not a scientist, nor was Velikovsky.  Sitchen is a Sumerian scholar, and Velikovski was a medical doctor, folklorist and scholar of ancient writings.  Both have looked at ancient texts for evidence of astronomical phenomenon, but neither is a scientist in the common sense of the term.   The academic community has generally dismissed their work.

No reputable scientists take them seriously. They made many errors about basic science in their writings.
