I'm terrible with geography.

I tried to find my brother in Omaha, New Jersey, and sepnt the whole summer just lookin' for Omaha. Turns out, it's in Nebraska! I knew the State's name started with an "Ne," anyhow.

Next year I'm goin to the Statue of Eiffel. I think it's on Fire Island, in the middle of Hudon's Bay.

So, how close can I get to Witchita or Tulsa via Amtrak?

  1. The closest to Tulsa would probably be Perry, Ok, which is about 80 miles due west of Tulsa on Hwy 64. (though I am not sure if there is an amtrak station there, i know that in some of the smaller towns south on the Red Rock sub like Purcell there is a station, so i would assume that Perry has one also considering both towns size)

I know that there is a station in Oklahoma City (about 90 miles from tulsa on HWY 44... 15 minute commuter flight takeoff to landing)

As for Wichita I do not know, and will not attempt to answer that part of your question.

I do know that for the towns that AMTRAK does not serve, sometimes they do run a bus to that location.

Hope I have been a help.

  2. Speaking as a train buff who has NEVER EVER taken a ride on an Amtrak train, all I suggest you do is look at the web site as the previous answerer has suggested. Or you can call their toll -free number 1-800-USA-RAIL. By the numbers, that's 1-800-872-7245. I hope my answer helps you. Good Luck, and MERRY CHRISTMAS HOGHEAD!! :) Hey hound dog, you leave Hoghead alone! Yeah, it was ME who gave you the thumbs down.

  3. Mobilina is wrong. There is no AMTRAK service in Tulsa. The closest is Oklahoma City. The AMTRAK goes from OKC to Dallas

  4. Shame on you. You should know where Omaha is your former employer's corporate headquaters are there.

  5. I'm a bit surprise to see your ask a question about Geography
