Is there prepaid SIM card that comes with a number available in convenient stores in South Korea, like many other Asian countries? What is the price range and does it limited to certain model of cellular phone? Thanks!

  1. Dont know, maybe yes.

  2. Most of the mobiles does not support SIM cards. Though there is SIM Card, almost no one uses it because you don't need SIM to run a mobile. You can operate and also change your number without inserting or changing SIM.

If you are thinking of carrying a mobile from your country and putting Korean SIM, you better buy a new mobile from Korea.  Your mobile may not support Korean SIM and it may not work.

You cannot buy a SIM or a mobile in convenient stores. You have to go to Official mobile store, buy it and activate it. No convenient store will sell SIM.

There is no Prepaid SIM in Korea.

For their own convenience, all Koreans use Postpaid, Not Prepaid.

    So, There's no Prepaid.
