  1. Not yet... but soon I bet you will see something like that.

I bet the first airline we see it on will be Emirate Air!  They are AWESOME to fly on.  Everything is business class.  Large portions of food.  Free alcohol.  500 channels of movies and music and shoes.  Lots of room.  And you can play games against anyone on the plane thru their video system!

Edit - Bad Answer my friend Jake.  Nothing on a plane runs in the Cell Phone Range.  They have two different schools of thought on it.  One.. .rude people would talk the entire flight.  Two... cell phones seek towers.  When your on the ground, the phone can only really get to 3 or 4 towers at a time (line of site).  However, once a cell phone talks to a tower, it reserves a channel.  It will do this hand  shake with towers and choose the best one.  That is why you dont lose reception while driving.  You just switch to the next tower.  A tower can ONLY handle so many devices at once (limited number of reservations).  If you were up in the air, and had line of site to all of these towers, we could literally do a denial of service everytime a plane was in visual distance!!

Right now the FAA is holding things that communicate.  Not because it jams or interferes with anything on the plane, but because people dont want someone talking on the phone for 3 hours next to them!

  2. i doubt it. they dont let you use cell phones cause they interfere with the radio waves of the planes talking to eachother and the ground so probably not... and it probably wouldnt work cause it has to be hooked up to the internet and its constantly moving
