Is there a 1990's bike equivalent to a big GPZ?

I'm looking to spend no more than $3k for an older bike. Has to be quick and fun and not to crotch rocket-hunched-over-kiddish. I'm tall too, need leg room. I loved my big GPZ back in the early 80's. Don't need luggage or a lot of bells and whistles either. No scooters please. Looking for a good counterbalance to my hulking Valkyrie. Ideas?

  1. what about the older FJ1100 or 1200? look into the honda pacific coast or the the kawasaki concourse fromt the 90's.

  2. The 1988-9 Kaw ZX10, or the 1990> ZX11 should work for you.   I have a 1990 ZX11, did a custom set of bars, to raise them about 3 inches, makes for a very comfortable ride.  I am 5 ft 10 in, about 215 lbs.

If you are interested, e-mail me, will give some more detail.

  3. I looked on cycle trader for a gpz replacement for you as I loved the KZ's myself.  I found this one in the first five minutes.  It's a little more than your budget, but I think it would make a great bike.
