Is there a 220VAC Inverter with a 16,000W capacity?

Im looking for a 220VAC inverter with a 16,000 wattage capacity with no minimum orders. Im just going to buy maybe 2 max, if there is can you please tell me where should I buy one? thank you man...:-)

  1. The TrippLite link gives you information on a 16kW uninterruptable power supply system (UPS). They also have other types of inverter products, but I didn't see anything as large as 16kW.

    There are also AC motor speed control inverters, usually called variable frequency drives (VFD).

    There are other typs of inverter products, but you are probably looking for either a UPS or PV inverter.


  2. What DC voltage? You realize that if this is 12 volts, the DC current will be about 1400 amps!

    If possible, use a higher battery voltage, such as 48 volts, which cuts the current down to 350 amps or so.

    Also you need to specify square wave, sine wave, or modified sine wave.

    Most manufacturers top out at 8kW. You many be able to find an expensive manufacturer that makes a 16kW unit, but it may be cheaper to get 2 8kW units, if you can split the load.
