Is there a CHARMAGA RIVER in Spain which is situated to a town named MARIQUINA?

  1. Supposedly, there was a Mariquina, Spain next to a Charmaga River in the early 1600's. Some of the people migrated to the Philippines and named their settlement

    Mariquina after their old home in Spain.  The town later became known as Marikina, Philippines, a section of Manila.

    I can't locate a Mariquina or a Charmaga River in Spain.  Maybe the names changed over the last 400 years.
