I'm interested in joining the Peace Corps but would much rather serve an organization that has an agenda for the Kingdom of God. Are there any organizations I can join that have a similar setup?

  1. ADRA

They don't require that you be of their religion, just that you'll behave in a manor that is befitting of a religious person. And they like people who have degrees in something.

  2. Two ideas...

  3. Church World Service and the American Friends Service Committee spring to mind.

"Like the Peace Corps" has different meanings. PCV's don't proselytize; or, if they do, they get sent home, since the US Government isn't in the missionary business. You are free to practice your religion as a PCV. They just don't want you trying to spread it.

Do you mean an organization that will give you three months of training before they let you loose on the natives, or one that will let you work in a foreign country, or one that helps developing countries, or what?
