I am constantly going through discs even though there's plenty of space still left on them because I like to watch them after they are recorded but I am forced to Finalize the disc in order to do so.

  1. What are you using to watch those recorded DVD's?  If you watch them on the DVD recorder you used to record the show you don't have to finalize the disk before being able to watch them.  I have a Toshiba DVD recorder and do that all the time.  I only finalize after I have filled up the disk.

Also, you might want to invest in a few DVD RW disks.  You would still have to finalize them if you need to watch it on a different DVD player but DVD RW disks can be erased and reused.  I do that all the time too.

  2. No, sadly a finalized disc is just that . . . finalized.

  3. And those darned disks are just so expensive, aren't they? LOL!

    Of course not!
