  1. If there was it wouldn't be any different than this board.

Same people, same posts, occasional intelligent questions/answers, mostly ignorance though.

Personally I don't understand why it isn't just called Gender Studies. Female is a gender, male is a gender, they are subcategories of a larger category.

  2. What is there to study about men anyway? We are not that difficult to read. There are only three things that drive men's existence. Eating, sleeping, and s*x. Don't see why anyone needs to know anymore than that. Oh, the first two are the means, and the third is the end. We eat to be nourished sufficiently to have s*x, and sleep to be well rested enough to have s*x. We have s*x to expend any excess energy and tension to allow us to eat well and sleep so we can have s*x. What could be simpler?

  3. no. until the word "masculinist" exists.

  4. there is in some colleges but feminist professors do everything from death threats to false accusations to keep them in check or to get them terminated.

  5. No Proud, I would not consider it sexist.  I think it should be called Humanism as this is a Sociology study...but no one listens to me, lol.

  6. Well seeing as how this section is Gender & women's study. I would figure the only other gender is men.

  7. Not sexist, just pointless. I've just explained the origin of this category in a previous Q.

Humanism is not a sociology study, it's a philosophical point of view made up of various approaches.

  8. No but it would be about p**n cars beer and sports ;)

But just of interest over here in New Zealand the Government has a Department of Womens Affairs but there is no Department of Mens Affairs

    Go figure

  9. Excellent question.  It would relieve some negativity here.

    I don't think a Men's Study is politically correct.  :)

  10. The men that come on gws are only here to make fools of women so if they had their own category then noone would visit them.

  11. while I agree it seems to be silly to have it separated here on ya.....I gots to argue...as always ;-)

There is no "men's studies" in colleges and universities....Women's studies is a real degree /field a person can go into.

  12. It would be considered sexist.

I consider it to be right here.  I take off the "Women's" when I look at it.

  13. Gender & Men's Studies would be considered "misogynistic" by modern Feminists so this wouldn't be accepted since modern Feminists constitute a larger user base than those who are opposed to this philosophy of espousing hatred.

  14. Men's Studies would be redundant since that is all most have studied through history.

  15. There is but it's secret, no women allowed!

  16. Don't make me take another drink.

With your stunning powers of persuasion, I'm sure you can convince Y!A to begin one.  I'll support you all the way.

  17. No Yahoo answers is sexist.

  18. Yea, it's called Football and Beer!
