Is there a hybrid fighter in the MMA or UFC etc

who has a black belt in Taekwondo and Karate

or a Muay Thai fighter and a Brazilian Jujitsu Black belt

gsp is a blackbelt in karate

parisyan is a blackbelt in judo

liddell is a blackbelt in kempo

and so on... but they all have belts in jiu jitsu or where an accomplished wrestler.. so yah most good fighters are hybrids..

Lyoto Machida, who's undefeated, is a blackbelt in Shotokan Karate. He's also a BJJ blackbelt, I believe.

and belts are usually not handed out in muay thai(some gyms do though), but if they were given out wanderlei silva and shogun rua would have one plus they both have a bjj black belt so i guess they kind of reach your requirement

there arent any tkd or many karate fighters in mma b/c both are near worthless.  only karate guy that uses any karate is lyoto machida.

muay thai/ bjj?  tons.  anderson silva for example.  therse also shogun, wanderlei, tons of guys.

Your definition of hyrbid isn't accurate. Nearly ever MMA fighter utilizes a variety of fighting techniques, and thusly: They would be under that umbrella. Most of the ones that do well don't actually just take an "MMA" class for example either: They have backgrounds in various arts.

There are many that do though.

Samy Shiavo has a black belt in TKD, Wrestling (Contact wrestling in France), Judo, and a brown belt in Jujutsu.

Lyoto has a black belt in Shotokan and BJJ. He only took Muay Thai for a short while.

Fedor has black belts in Judo and Sambo.

Pat Smith has a black belt in TKD, Hapkido, and Tang Soo Do.

Liddell has a black belt in (Hawaiian) Kempo, and a purple in BJJ. However, he has a strong Karate background, but I don't know what belts he has.

Zelg Galesic has a black belt in ITF Tae Kwon Do, and he also utlilizes Muay Thai.

Yuki Kondo (Pancrase/Shorinji Kempo)
