The kind with the sliding rice paper doors and where they make you take off your shoes when you enter. The kind you see in the movies.

  1. There's a place you can sit on the floor like that in georgetown, but it's a Chinese tea house... It's called Ching Ching Cha... It's got some good stuff!!!

  2. Sushi Tarro has the low tables and no shoes.  They may even have a private room for you to enjoy a Saki party.

  3. I believe Tachibana in McLean has a tatami party room.  Yeah sorry I know it's not DC proper.  I live in Virginia outside the beltway, and what with the traffic, restrictions, lack of parking, etc. DC is as far away as a foreign country.
