  2. Ummmm.... yeah I'm betting anything or most things those guys do is deemed classified, you could probibly ask them to go over losely what they did to get there.

  3. HAHA, you say this as if you're a little girl who loves hannah montana...my gosh dude...lmao

  4. I was considered a specialist but was equipped with a sniper rifle on most occasions during my days in the Marines.  As a matter of fact, I usually carried two weapons into action.  I was and expert marksman and went to advanced weapons training and the sniper rifle was one of the weapons I became qualified to operate.

During engagements, two or three of us would be outfitted with sniper rifles along with our other weapons.  Our first duty was to position ourselves at high positions that would allow us to see the target area for the prescribed mission.  We were to support the other when they advanced on the positions.  We would take out enemy positions before our guys reached those areas.  We were in constant contact with the forward unit and moved as directed to provide the same assistance as areas were cleared.

Once the objective was met, we packed up the sniper rifle and assisted the forward unit exiting the hot zone.  Providing cover fire and adding additional fire power to get our guys out safely.

I was with a unit that was quick in and quick out.  A lot of times, the sniper rifles were the only weapons actually fired.  By the time the targets knew we were there, we already had completed the objective and we were safe in the chopper.

I will give you some advice.  It is hard enough to be a Marine, let alone a specialist such as a sniper.  It is just a job that a Marine does to help his fellow soldiers.  I was an expert marksman but that was the easy thing.  You had to be very agile and patient.  Sometimes it took me an entire day to get into position for what turned out to be a 20 minute engagement.  If I was detected or could not reach my position in the time frame mandated, Marines would die.  I will be honest with you.  Marines did die on my account on several occasions.  These men were my brothers and I was unable to support them.  This haunts me every day but I would do it again if called upon.  See my failure were not because of lack of effort or discipline.  Sometimes the situations in the field are not the same as was planned for back at the base.  Sometimes the enemy takes you by surprise and you must adapt.  I did and I lived to fight another day.  Others were not as fortunate.

If you are currently a Marine, you are my brother and I wish you success in the fight and I will pray for your return home.  If you are not, please take your time to choose your path.  Being a Marine, is not an easy path and you may be required to sacrifice your life.  If you do choose the Armed Forces of the United States, serve your county well and with integrity and honor.  I salute you!

God Bless our men and women in harms way.  May victories be often and may you return home soon.
