  1. report it to trading standards. i bet its from nigeria where most scams originate

  2. NO NO NO NO NO

    It is a scam!!!

I get e-mails like this all the time.  There is always more money that you need to send because first it is a courier fee, then it is held up in customs, then it is a diplomatic question, etc., it NEVER stops!!!  Check the e-mail it came from.  Ususally a good hint is that the e-mail came from a free site, i.e.: yahoo, hotmail, etc.  Think about it, why wouldn't a large bank have their own e-mail site?  I have reported several of these scams to Interpol, Intelegience Computer agencies, etc. and I have even received money orders in the mail wanting me to cash them, keep 10%, and send them the rest.  I immediately took them to the Post Office for verification and they were FAKE.  PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do NOT get caught up in one of these scams.  You can also go to www.411scam.com to check these things out.

    Good Luck!

  3. It's a new idea but why would he ship a very large machine that includes a heavy safe to a complete stranger.  if he was real (and he isn't) he would surely send you a cheque or money order or even transfer the funds electronically.  Also if you have a right to the money then you would not normally have to pay to claim it.

    IT'S A SCAM!

  4. Wow.  That's a new scam.  Why would he need you to send him money so he can send YOU money.  New twist on an old attempt to separate you from your money.
