Is there a Western cuisine in which the dishes do not contain potatoes neither dairy products?

I am wondering if there is any Western culture in the world in which their western diet rarely or does not include potatoes neither dairy products

  1. Many Creole and Cajun dishes do not contain dairy or potatoes.


  2. On the whole, no. Both potatoes and dairy are popular throughout Western cuisine.

    That said, there are tons of dishes that contain neither dairy nor potatoes... they just aren't specific to a certain type of cuisine.

  4. Not really.  Potatoes are indigenous to the Americas so they show up almost everywhere.  But you can substitute potatoes and dairy by looking up some sites for lactose intolerant for the dairy, and substituting yucca, turnips, or even a grain where potatoes would be used.
