Although I think Manchester terminal 2 is like a gaint warehouse and does nothing to put you in the mood for travelling there is a couple of bars there plus usual fast foods and shops.

If I remember correctly, there are a couple of places to get a drink and I assume they serve alcohol. It's not huge though, there's a Burger King, WH Smiths, Waterstones and a couple of other shops but there's not a lot there.
