Describing the Salon du Glacier in the Opera Garnier as a bar or saloon may be a bit of an understatement. However, this is the area where patrons of the Opera may take a glass of champagne.

The Café de la Paix which is located next to the opera at 12 blvd des Capucines was desiged by the same Charles Garnier who designed the Opera house and therefore dates from roughly the same period.
