I was told my CR80 motor is from between 1985-1989. But the two manuals to choose from in the time period is either 1981-1988 and 1989-1995. Which should I get? And there is no ID number or serial number on the motor so I can't look it up I just know its a honda CR80 motor.

  1. http://www.powersportspro.com/

    Open 2 Internet Explorer programs.

    Load powersportspro in each.

Put them both on your monitor in split screen mode.

Check the part # from one bike to another.

They haven't changed the cr80 engine much over the years.

  2. The 10th digit in the vin represents the year. After you find the year you can check the bore/stroke of the motor. I don't see that engine changing other than possibly in port timing and thats probably the same as well. Anyways use this site(at the bottom) to decode your   year using the 10th digit of the vin.
