Is there a big difference between wireless n and g

i have wireless n router is it worth paying an extra 30$ to get n built into my laptop because you could customize your laptop at dell

Yes. Wireless N has a maximum throughput that is roughly 6 times as fast as G. Assuming you have or are near a compatible router, you can transfer files between computers much faster. Internet speed is bottlenecked already, so it will not be faster.
