I am trying to by Physics Principles with Applications 6th Edition by Douglas Giancoli. With the ISBN 0131846612 / 978013146616. I keep coming accross the same title but with a different ISBN 0130606200 / 9780130606204. I keep being outbid on E-bay for the correct one. Are these completely different books?? Would it be so different I couldn't follow along in class??Any feedback would help.

  1. if they're both 6th edition, then one must be the teacher's edition. teacher's editions have great extra notes and some questions are filled in, but if your school has a buyback at the end of the semester, they won't take it.

  2. ISBN # 0131846612  http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0...

(946 pages, published by Pearson Education)

    ISBN# 0130606200 http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0...

(1040 pages Published by Prentice Hall)

    ISBN# 9780130606204 http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0...

(1040 pages Published by Prentice Hall)

I entered your ISBN in www.amazon.com and these three match them (couldn't find one). It appears the difference is in the two publishers and they first set of ISBN # have less pages than that other. I am sure that you will not fall behind because of it and if you are missing a few pages youc an always borrow a friends book and copy the pages. Contact your professor if you are worried but it should be fine.
