Is there a book that is like a ' dummies guide to medicine'?

I am just hoping to understand medicine at a really really basic level... any recommendations?

  1. I wouldn't have thought so. Such a book could be used to self medicate without considering a full medical history and the ramifications of interactions between drugs, and may be considered dangerous.
