Is there a bridge that connects Africa to Spain?

Im not sure if there is, why don't either Africas or Spains government suggest it, i think its a good idea.

Yes great idea, lets facilitate things for all the illegal immigrants trying to get in , we don't have that many, ( haha)  so the more the merrier........................not

check the Spanish news , there are boats arriving on Spanish beaches every day from Africa, laiden with drugs and immigrants and Spain gets virtually no help from the EU to control things, so it's not a good idea.

Actually the governments have suggested a tunnel not a bridge (similar to the Channel Tunnel)...

Hopefully it will never come true... We have enough problems with illegal immigrants already. (And this is not a racist issue, just an excess of uneeded problems, most of these people think this is paradise, and get here to find they have no work prospects and abilites, they end up either begging, selling junk on street corners, or even stealing...not good for them and even less so for us.)

For tourists, the ferries are great to cross the straits of Gibraltar, you don't really need much else.

An actual answer to your question is NO.

And, I'm pretty sure that the main reason there isn't a BRIDGE, is because the water would tear it down.  I'm no expert and I'm not an engineer, but I don't think a bridge of that length would withstand the raging tides that I imagine run through the straight.  

Maybe  tide isn't the right word, but the water is probably pretty rough right there, and it would be prohibitive.

That, of course, not even adressing the illegal problem or the probelms of patrolling and customs and passport checks, and besides, where would the Spanish terminus be?  You aren't talking about spanning the Straight, but going the extra miles to connect to Spain.  Remember, Gibraltar isn't in Spain.
