Is there a bus from Mazatlan to Puerto Vallarta, 1st class?

we want to spend 1 week in Maz; then bus down to PV, fly home then, what is the timing i.e. leave in pm arrive in am?

Yes,there is a bus between Matzatlan and Puerto Vallarta.It is a 7-8 hour ride and is approximately 350 Pesos. The bus station in Matzatlan is 3 blocks from the malecon and about 2 km. north of Old Matzatlan between downtown and the Zona Dorada.Sorry,I'm not sure about the current schedules,best to check at the bus station when you arrive in Matzatlan.

There will be a bus about every two hours. You MAY need to change buses in Tepic which is inland about 2 hrs from PV. The first class buses here are excellent!
