  1. No, you take the metro or a taxi. But as there's seven train stations in Paris maybe you should tell us from which to where.

Here is a map showing where the six main ones are (seventh is called Gare de Bercy).

  2. In Paris, you can pretty much get anywhere you need to go by public transit.  There may not be a direct bus that only goes from Stn A to Stn B, but you can get there by regular city bus or tube (subway train.)  You may have to walk a little bit, so take comfy walking shoes.  (If you are purchasing new walking shoes for this trip, wear them around home for a week or two before packing them.  You don't want to be breaking shoes in while you're traveling.)

  3. Yes, but you have to check the schedules because some do not run very late.  Go to www.paris.org/Metro for more info. Also, try getting a Paris Tourist card, it covers the Metro (the train) and all local buses.

  4. what two train stations?

  5. There are several train stations in Paris.  For example when I was coming in from Zurich to connect with the Eurostar back to London, I arrived in Paris at Gare l'Est but needed to get to Gare du Nord to get the Eurostar.  I didn.t bother with a bus.  It was just a 2-minutes ride on The Paris Metro (subway)
