Is there a cable that connects computers to stereos?

the sound on my computer doesnt work so i was wondering if there was a cable i could get that connects to my stereo so that my computer sound will come out the stereo??? thx

considering the only problem is speakers and not the sound card or drivers, you can get a y cable that has a RCA end w/ red and white outputs and a "headphone jack input". you can connect your laptop to your computer to your stereo. i use this w/ my ipod all the time.

no, dont be daft... no sound at the PC, what makes you thiknk itll work plugged into the stereo?

check your sound card is workiing. make sure the sound isnt muted paused or turned off... and make sure your plugged into the correct jack (green i think)

and ANY stereo jack to jack (from headphone jack) into ampplifier will work... we run a laptop through our stage PA...
