This is for a speaker system hooked up to a laptop that only has 2 3.5 mm audio slots. The speaker system has 3 3.5 mm stereo audio outputs, making it impossible to make it work. Is there a cable that can condense the 3 3.5 mm stereo audio outputs into one output such as usb etc.

NOTE: the laptop has no rca input slots

  1. Your setup makes no sense.

What do you want to do? I assume you want to connect your Laptop to the speaker system.

If that is the case, what are the INPUTs of the speakers system used for? You may not have to connect to all 3.

What happens if you only connect the Laptop output (3.5 mm) to each of the speaker inputs?

The best you can do is get a 3.5 mm splitter, one output from laptop to two inputs in the speaker system.

  2. That is totally wierd! Are you sure you're describing this correctly? I work for Radio Shack and get questions like this every day. What kind of audio card and software do you have? Laptops never have RCA inputs. They are always 1/8" and always analog.  Regardless, you can't convert to USB unless you get a new sound card and with a lap top, good luck. You have to convert the analog to digital unless it is already built into the computer. In any event, if you're looking at surround sound, which might account for the extra inputs, you still would have to convert from analog to a USB input. There is no simple connector that can do that. The only way to get around the problem is download to your computer hard drive via the analog stereo inputs, then burn a disc or take it directly from the hard drive and transfer to the laptop.
