I want to be able to view who is calling before I get up and walk all the way over to the kitchen to see who it is. Since I am working on a home network, I didn't know if there is one yet, if there is please put the link to download it from.

  1. One that I know of is called "CALLWAVE"  but it costs money....you can however use it for free on your pc as a voice mail service which comes very in handy if your using dial-up.

  2. it would probably be cheaper to just buy a cordless phone.  For less than $100 you can buy a good cordless phone with 2 or more handsets that display the call ID on them.  Hook up the main one in your kitchen, and one of the cordless handsets in your office.  The Panasonic that have even tries to pronounce the ID (although it mangles most of them pretty bad...but kind of funny too).  And you can set it so that specific callers have their own ring tone.
