Is there a canadian credit card i can get when I'm under 18 that isn't prepaid?

I'm in ontario and I want a credit card but all ive seen say you need to be the age of majority (18) and I'm 16 .

  1. You may be able to get "secured" credit cards where you have to make deposit and they issue you credit card for same amount. You may have to get approval from your parents. There is Home Trust Visa and Horizon plus Mastercard. You have to make atleast minimum payments every month. Don't mess up your credit by not paying and it takes 6 years to clear your credit report.

  3. try inquiring to Bank of Montreal, CIBC, TD and other Canadian Banks... be sure to know their policies... but i think you should be 18 before you can apply...
