Hi! I was wondering whether there is a certain age to that or not. I started playing snooker not long time ago, it'll make 4 months by now, but I was told by my coach that I'm pretty good for someone who hasn't played snooker before and that it comes very natural for me. I thought that maybe I have some talent and thought of making an extra effort to become a professional snooker player, because I really enjoy it and apparently I'm really good at it. But then I was told by some people that it's like being a ballerina-one has to start from a very early age in order to become a professional. At the same time, others say that it doesn't matter that much, as soon as one has talent and makes an effort. I am 19 and I realise this is very 'old' for a snooker player, but I was wondering- is there any chance at all for me to become a professional or is it way too late now?

  1. Michaela Tabb didnt start until very late.  You should read her story sometime and be encouraged.  Better known as a world class referee she does still represent Scotland at Pool.

  2. not to late for you ,but give the amateur circuit a few more months tournament wise, being a pro is a big step up 'good luck.

  3. never give up
