  1. *sigh*  This question has been asked and answered dozens of times within the past few days.  Hurricanes don't "hit" each other.  They don't join up.  There is no such thing as a category 8, either.  If they were to come so close as to brush against each other, one of them would weaken.


  2. I don't think it's possible at all...Both storms are far apart from each other and Hurricane Gustav will make landfall in Louisiana on Monday.  

  3. anything is possible, but i don't know if it's probable.  forecasters are claiming that their models can not predict what these twin hurricanes are going to do, so i'm preparing for the worst-case scenario -- that the two storms will join.

  4. That would be like a Category 4+Category 4= Category 8. It is possible, but unlikely going to happen in this situation. Hurricane Gustav is a little farther south, and Hanna is a little farther to the north and east of Gustav. Gustav is expected to hit first, then Hanna. They are spread apart, so, mostly unlikely.
