  1. Hi There,

I live close to Hammersmith, and i would say your best bet would be to park in the King's Mall shopping centre in Hammersmith - which is very well sign posted, although its a on one way system. Park your car there as there is always spaces as its a five level car park. Hammersmith station and bus station are around a two minute easy walk away from the car park in the shopping centre.

From Hammersmith station you can get District, Piccadilly or Hammersmith and City Tube Lines into central london. Or get the bus number 9, 10 go into central London, ie, Oxford Street, etc. The good thing is that Hammersmith Station and Bus station are within the same building so the choice is yours. A bus would take roughly an hour maybe less to get to central London (depending on the time - AVOID 5pm - 6.30pm as this is rush hour). If you were to take the Piccadilly Line Train to Piccadilly Circus, it would take roughly 20 mins.

The parking does not cost that much either for the day in the shopping centre and plus you avoid the congestion charge whilst in Hammersmith!!

Hammersmith is not outside London it is West London, but i would park here because it will not be such a drag to get back to your car when you return and the parking price isnt to bad.

    Hope my answer helps x

  2. Absolutely.  London is a big place (the M25 motorway, which circles it, is 114 miles long!), so let us know where you're coming from and we can suggest a suitable place to park.

  3. If you're coming from the north, there's a car park at Mill Hill East and then catch Northern Line to Kennington or Morden via Bank branch.

  4. yes you can

  5. Yes absolutely.  A lot of commuters who live quite far out of London do this.  There are not designated Park and Ride schemes as such.  it's rather a case of finding somewhere far enough out of London that there is free parking but close enough to make it worth it.  I live in West Norwood and there are often cars parked up by the park all day while people commute from the train station to London Bridge or Victoria as it's only 25 minutes from me but worth them driving to West Norwood if they live out in Penge or somewhere.  The congestion zone means that no one wants to drive through the zone costing them £8 a day but good luck finding a free space on the edge of the zone as it would be like gold dust.  Parking in London is a huge problem as it is so busy and there are too many cars (hence the congestion charge).

  6. We usually park in Hammersmith and take the tube.
