Is there a charitable organization that will accept donations of furniture?

I have a couch and loveseat in good condition that I would like to donate to a charitable organization. The Salvation Army will not pick it up as it has to be a minimum of 3 pieces. These pieces are available for pick up only in the Mississauga area.

Does Mississauga have Goodwill?  I've only been there once, so I can't recall.  If not, why not add another piece to your collection so the SA will come?  Surely you must have something else you don't particularly want?

Edit:  I just remembered something I did once:  I put an old appliance out by the road with a "free" sign on it and it sat for three days.  I changed the sign to $50 and it was gone overnight!

Ever heard of St.Vincent DePaul?If there is one near you,they usually pick it up,usually.Good luck!

List your stuff and people will come pick it up for free....you can also request free stuff.

We have a place here called Hope Harbor.  They will pick up if things are in good condition.  Look in your phone book for charitable companies where you can make donations.  I am sure someone will want these items.  And if there is nothing there, see if you can place an ad in the paper.  Sometimes they will place the ad for free.

Try Habitat for Humanity, they sell furniture in their stores and can pick it up.  St. Vincent de Paul also accepts furniture, I believe that they also pick up.

There is a foundation called Catholic Housing which takes furniture and gives it to those in need. Im not sure if many charites will pick it up, as you often have to arrange to drop it off. Good for you anyway, donating your furniture instead of throwing it out...
