Is there a cheap way to fix plasma screen burn an old teletext screen is burnt into the second hand set i have

I beleive they make a dvd that runs a series of high intesity test patterns to help "wash) the tv but being an old tv I dont know if it could take it. Most of the new tvs come with a white wash abiltiy or pixel shift that just displays a intense white screen or "moves" the pixels around by 1 or 2 pixels at a time. Check for the dvd but becareful with it.

No, burn in is on the outer screen of a TV not the inner screen. There is no cheap fix other than replacing the outer screen, but for the price of doing that, I would invest it in a LCD and be done with it.
