Is there a checkpoint from Phoenix to Las Vegas?

Is there a checkpoint from Phoenix to Las Vegas? If so, is there a route to get around it/them?

I assume you mean police checkpoint?

The only place you might run into one is around hoover dam. I went through a police check point there one time. But in general its a terrorism checkpoint, not a dui checkpoint.

If you mean an agriculture checkpoint like there is going from Vegas to LA the answer is no.  If you mean any checkpoint at all, depends on your route.  If you go over the Hoover Dam, there's a checkpoint there.  They pull you off the road and check your car.  Hoover Dam would be a target for terrorists.

If by "checkpoint" you mean just a place on the highway you can stop for a break or get snacks, yes, hit up Bullhead City or Laughlin.

You should phrase this question someone clearer. I woud take it to mean checkpoints to check for drugs or alchol impairment I do not thin that thei a usually occurance.

I am not sure what you mean by "checkpoint".  it is only maybe a 250 mile stretch of highway.

this is America, not the old Soviet Union.   Unless there is a police safety check, or you drive a OTR truck that needs scales, there is no such thing
