Is there a clear fantasy football running back option from New England?

Or does the presence of Laurence Maroney, LaMont Jordan, Sammy Morris and Kevin Faulk make it too muddled a situation to rely on any of them?

  1. Laurence Maroney is the going to be the number one guy, it would probably be a good idea to keep an eye on Lamont Jordan just in case Maroney goes down.

  2. Maroney is the #1 but his value is hurt by the other 3 running backs.  Jordan is probably the next best option.

  3. It's a full-blown RBBC now.

    Maroney just can't stay healthy.

    Morris shined behind the same line in Maroney's absence.

    Jordan is fighting for his career, and might be an ideal goalline back.

    Faulk is a common third down back, but has done enough for touches.

    In a fantasy context, I think you don't reach high for Maroney at all.  Let him fall well beyond his current ADP.  If he's sitting there with good value, scoop him up, but he is not trustworthy enough as a RB1 or RB2 in my book.

    Jordan and Morris are late round "flyers" at this point.

    I'm mostly avoiding New England's backs this year, in light of their "pass first" mentality.

  4. Maroney=1

    Jordan=2

    Faulk=3rd down/change of pace

    Morris=Emergencies/Special Teams
