Is there a clear tape i can buy that will protect my frame from scratching and dings?

ive heard of people putting tape on there frames to protect it. i have been looking around at 3M products but im not really sure what im looking at. if theres anyone out there that has put some clear tap or something on there bike would you let me know what it is so i can check it out? i just spent way more then i should on a specialized stumpjumper and i want to make sure it looks pretty its whole life.

  1. Or the budget way of doing it, is by using clear book wrap (the kind you use to cover school exercise books with).

    It doesn't affect the paintwork (not in my personal experience anyhow), is able to be cut into different sizes, and is cheap to buy. Over time, it may need replacing, but that's easily amended.

    I've put some on sections of my bike prone to cable rubbing, along the top bar & other sensitive  parts of the paint work.

    Just an idea.

  3. i don't know if there is a clear tape for it but i do know when u paint the bike, there is this clear coat spray cans. spray at least 3 cans on the bike and it should be indestructible
