Is there a code of conduct for the NEWS CHANNEL in India , the land of snakes and Ram BABAs ?

AAJ TAAK as per their claim is honoured 3 consequtive times with the coveted NO-1 channel in it's category. what it is telecasting 24X7 - RAM KATHAS, RAM LEELAS and such superstitous beliefs for the benefits of The RSS , the VHPs , BJPs, the RANVIR SENAS and their fundamentalists org whose sole aim to divide the society based on religion , castes and Manuwads . There must be a contract to run a news channel and certainly must be diffrent from the so called Religious channels . And there must be some governing body to discourage such mal -practices on the part of AAJ TAAK and so many similar news channel going beyond their contracts. What about booing the sponsors and putting them behind BAR for their fin sp for all the wrong cause. Is there anybody well versed with law ( is there any ) to stop such TX.

Really you have pointed out very genuine and interesting topic about code of conduct for news channel.Recently in one of Hindi Chanel a debate was also telecast wherein very imminent persons related to police,media expert,and politicians were present.Out of that discussions outcome was that about 70 to 80 % NEWS CHANNEL not fulfilling their role rather they are minting money like any thing and no positive role to educate the poor people being sponsered by them.I think our Govt.is also behaving before them as bonded labour.

well frst of all thnx that u hv raised this question ..not only aajtak all d other pvt channls doin d same stuff ..znews is also finding hanmanji birhtplace or which langauge did he speak.n bla bla ..all is nonsense .if u want to c news thn u will c sum sas bahu serials review on news chnls  n tat sucks .i feel like slappin thm at tat time.and indian broadcasting minister has been warnd thm for nt showing such prgrams like ghost n all .

i thnk govt sud ban such channls .only gud chnl is DD news
