Is there a cokatiel or larger bird that needs a good home?

my family and i are looking for a new pet, so we decided upon a cockatiel or larger. No i haven't had experience with a large parrot but i have been reading so much and learning a lot about them. We decided about a couple of months ago and my birthday is coming up and rather than purchasing one i would like to give one a good home. We were also looking at geting a cage for it to. not to worried about the adoption price

I know of someone who has to give away his cockatoos (I don't what kind they are - perhaps umbrella or Moluccan).  If you haven't already lucked into a new bird, let me know and I will get the info for you.

adopt one from the spca or bird/animal shelter. theres bird world, but i dont know if you have one where u are. look on kiji.com or ebay for birds around your area. usually they have lots. conures are great if i may make a suggestion.
