Is there a company out of Ottawa Canada?

Question

Is there a company out of Ottawa Canada that pertains to television stations? What I was told this company does is they are the ones that get the new technology and get to play with it, learn its ticks then go out to TV stations across the US and Canada training the people that work at these stations. I was never given a company name and I think I'm being lied to. Just thought I'd follow up on it and see what I can learn. It's an out there question so I'm not expecting an answer.

The CRTC (Canadian Radio and Television Commission) regulates television  in Canada but does not introduce or train on technology.  Don't know of any companies that deal with it although Ottawa is our Silicon Valley North.
