  1. yes it can be very stressful and tedious but its part of growing up. i you havent already filled out your fafsa or heard about, you should do it! for first timers this can be difficult and stressful, they have sessions where professionals are there to help you out with it. see your counselor and ask about this. you will need your parents tax info also, you might need them there with you too when filling it out. its going to input all of your financial data, you put down the schools you are possibly going to. the schools then receive this info and compile a financial aid package with grants, loans, etc that you are eligible for. at worst you will have to take out a lot of loans. but regardless, this helps a lot. call or visit your schools fin aid office for any questions, this is a great time to get familiar with it.

other than that, you are on your own. such as scholarships. these are usually self starters that search for them on their own, or else there would be no point in giving them out as an award. there are many websites that you can create a profile and search for scholarships, etc. check them out!

    good luck!

  2. Why would you want to pay someone to do work for you and the application is free?? It is very simple! If you think you make a mistake then ask your financial aid office to verify your information and they will correct the information for you!  The FAFSA is the easiest thing to fill out.

  3. Just go to www.fafsa.ed.gov.  Its the site that all schools use for a free application for Financial Aid.  All you need is your tax return form.  It will ask if your intrested in loans and everything like that.

  4. Yes.  There are many.  Unfortunately all of them will take your money and even "guarantee financial aid" and brag about how much money they got you, but don't tell you anyone who can READ can get the exact same thing.

For as much as you have to pay them, you'll get a better return putting that money directly towards your tuition.  Don't be afraid to ask questions.  The finaicial aid office at your school (or any school) is there to help you.
