if your a xp user i recommend the mcaffe antivirus is really god and when there is a virus they tell you and the program delete the virus it self

Yes there are lots of antivirus program software that you can purchase to get rid of any virus and there are some Free ones that does the same job (of getting rid of viruses)  it all depends on what you are looking for. Here are a few that I am listing ok. (McAfee, Norton, NOD32, Kask. etc.) these are the paid for version (and there are more) You can check with your local stores (BestBuy, Circuit City, Walmart, etc.) to find out what program is the best (that will suit your needs)  And grisoft avg is a good antivirus program and it is free, and it will get rid of computer viruses also . go to housecall.trendmicro.com and run the free online scan.  It will get rid of any virus you have.  Also, make sure that you have virus protection on your computer.  Only have one program, because if you have more than one virus protection program, it makes your computer less safe and can make it run slow.  avast is a good free program you can get.  Best of luck.

The IT and geek community know about a program that is free and very very effective.

It just removed 5 hijacks from one of my computers and was the only program that found and cleaned it.

just download AVG free from free.grisoft.com i'd also recommend an anti-spyware like AdAware by Lavasoft...
